Summer time gig – mini vlog

Hey cuties! This is sort of a ‘throw back saturday’ or ‘flash back weekend’ type update, hehe. #laterblog

Last summer I was extremely lucky, ’cause I got to see one of my favourite bands perform. Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros ❤ The gig was at the beach, which made it even more perfect ❤  I filmed a lot that day, because I knew it was a special one. But I never got around to editing everything together. UNTIL NOW! yay!

It was a really fun day, and I think you can really tell that it was in the video =) But I do want to note that a day like this is very, very, VERY rare for me these days. It took me several weeks of preparing before; resting a lot, not planning too many other outings, takings painkillers during the day, showering the day before, etc, etc. I was in a lot of pain before, during and after the concert, but I pushed myself to stay there, and to try and enjoy it while it was happening. Which was hard, so I’m very thankful that I made a lot of videos, because they help me relive the experience, without feeling the amount of pain that I was in =)
Afterwards I was absolutely exhausted, and I don’t even really remember how long it took me to recover. I think I showered three days after? Something like that? Those recovery bits are always a blur in my mind, so I’m not sure.

So yeah, gigs are not easy for me, and I wanted to remind everyone of that. Because somehow people always think you’re cured when they see that you’re smiling and/or happy. (oh how I wish that were true tho, hehe) Some days are just worth all the pain and trouble, and this one definitely was.  So without any further reminders of my pain and agony, here it isssss <3333

SUCH A GOOD EVENING! YAY ❤

Veluwemeer weekend trip

Kevin’s parents have the best holiday home, and we get to use it sometimes. It’s the best place, so peaceful and quiet and beautiful ❤
We had the best weekend there, and we even managed to take a little trip to the Kröller-Müller, a museum I’ve wanted to visit for aaaages. It was super fun, and there was a lot of really beautiful art.

Anyway, I video’d a buttload of stuff, and put it all together with some music, and here it is!

Here’s hoping we’ll get to go back for many more weekendtrips, yiissss. ❤

Rhodos 2015

Hey babes, it’s been a while!
I’m not doing too great, and posting here is pretty much always the first thing to go I guess? Whoops, sorry about that.
A while back I was doing pretty flipping fantastic though, cause I was on the beautiful island of Rhodos with my mom and my sister. We had such a wonderful week, swimming, sleeping in the sun, pool, sea side, beautiful hotel. It was pretty perfect ❤ And I even managed a one day road trip to the other side of the Island! Hurra!
Ugh, it was SUCH a good holiday. Wish I could go back asap ❤

Do you know those moments when you find photos on your computer, that you just completely forgot you had?! I just had one of those moments with photos from last juli. My mom, sister, dad and I went to Artis Zoo to celebrate mother/fathersday together. And it was a beautiful sunny day, and lot’s of animals were out. It was such a fun day, seeing these photos again made me really happy. So I just had to share. Cause that’s what I do with happy stuff.

Wheels For Annika-versary

Holy smokes, can you believe it?! The fundraiser that my sister Rebekka, and my friends Maartje & Mirjam started to help me get a wheelchair, started exactly one year ago today.

~ here I’ll give you a couple of seconds to think about how fast time goes ~

I KNOW RIGHT! SHEEZ! Time is a crazy person.

I still have trouble putting in to words just exactly how much this fundraiser means to me. Even a year later I get so overwhelmed by all the messages and kind words and people who responded (and of course, ALL the people who donated, so many, so crazy, so blessed). It was an incredible rollercoaster ride, that still thrills me. Not to mention how happy I still am with my wheelchair, and my Roomba Irobot.
To each and every person who participated, in any way shape or form, a donation, or a share on your fb/insta/tumblr, or who just read it and knew more about CFS afterwards. Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

THANK YOU!

Not but seriously you guys, it was so amazing, and I still feel so loved and accepted because of all you guys. Thank you ❤

THANK YOU ❤ ❤ ❤

And to thank you guys a lil’ bit more. I spent the last couple of weeks working on something special for you guys. *insert sneaky emoji face*

It’s kinda like like LotR. Cause it has so many endings. So it’s totally like LotR. In every way. Except no elves and orcs and gollum and such. And only seven minutes instead of several hours. But other than that. LotR like masterpiece, right?!

I hope you enjoyed it, as much as I have enjoyed using my wheelchair over the past year. I still hope that I won’t need it some day soon, but I’m going to try and enjoy the heck out of it now that I do ❤

Thank you ❤
